Photography

Photography is the foundation of Sherwood’s practise as an artist. Picking up a camera at 16 revolutionised Sherwood’s life; never before had ideas become real looking like that did in her imagination. Sherwood has not stopped taking pictures since. Alongside the photographs taken for specific book arts projects, like those in The Ellentree or Moonrise, Sherwood also carries a camera with her on a regular basis. All photographs are taken on film using one of Sherwood’s beloved cameras- her Hasselblad or Leica.
