The Van Party will be taking place in St. Ives, Cornwall, at my Mums gorgeous new house. The van will be parked outside, decked out for a party, in the exact spot I am currently building it.

The address is: Villa Brantwood, Penbeagle Way, St Ives, TR26 2JQ.

Getting Here:

Obviously you can drive to St Ives no matter where in the country you are coming from.

OR, you could catch a train. The closest mainline station is St Erth which has a branch line or buses that will get you to St Ives. If planning on hiring a car for the visit I would suggest getting the train the Penzance as you will likely have more hire options there.

If driving here, or driving from a nearby rental or hotel the nearest car park to the house is Trenwith Car Park, which is a long stay.

Staying:

St. Ives and the surrounding area has heaps of accommodation options, from hotels and B&B’s to holiday houses and camp sites. So whatever your preference and your budget there will be somewhere to stay. I’ve compiled a short list below but a simple google with provide you with heaps of options

My biggest tip, and one I cannot stress strongly enough, is that St. Ives is HUGELY popular so BOOK EARLY. I would suggesting booking now if you can.

Places to stay:

Camping

Ayr Holiday Park (https://www.ayrholidaypark.co.uk/) has static camper vans, space for motorhomes and campers, and space for tents. It is also within walking distance of my Mums house and the beaches of St. Ives. Its got good facilities and electric hook ups for campers.

Balnoon Campsite (https://www.balnooncampsite.co.uk/) is a short drive from St. Ives and has space for campers, motorhomes and tents.

Hellesvore Holidays (https://hellesveorholidays.co.uk/) is a short drive from St. Ives. It has space for tents, campers and motorhomes, as well as a few cottages for hire.

There are also heaps of other choices from permanent sites to pop up, low tech campsites in local fields. The pop up sites can take a little more searching as they often don’t have websites, so I’m happy to help with the hunt for anyone who needs it.

Glamping

Glamping St Ives (https://www.glampingstives.com/accommodation/4594772417) has shepherds huts, hobbit huts and a barn conversion all within a short drive of St Ives.

B&B and Hotels

The Old Count House (http://www.theoldcounthouse-stives.co.uk/) is a gorgeous looking B&B within easy walking distance of my Mums house. Worth it for anyone looking for something really close to the party.

The Old Vicarage Bed and Breakfast (https://www.oldvicarage.com/index.php) is also within walking distance of the house.

Tregenna Castle Hotel (https://www.tregenna-castle.co.uk/) has self catering and a hotel for anyone wanting something a little fancier.

There are heaps of other B&B and Hotel options in town, have a google and you will find something to your liking.

Holiday Lets

Obviously Air B&B will have heaps of options for places to stay in St. Ives. I’ve listed a few other holiday let companies below, but there are more. I would suggest taking the time to have a search. I guarantee you will find something suitable. My best tip when booking a holiday let is to find something with parking. St. Ives is a busy place during the season and so having a parking space is invaluable.
